Our story
It all started with this one doll.
I now have several other dolls and ceramic pieces.
I also have civil war chamber pots and slat bonnets
Home of unique creations and unique gifts.
It all started with 4-H projects and the wonderful creative things that I was introduced to such as sewing and ceramics. Painting ceramics began when I was just 6 years old with sewing following at a little older of 7.
I have long loved history which lead to my enthusiasm with the civil war. At the age of 15 I made my first civil war dress and now have a porcelain reproduction doll of Jennie Lind, the Swedish nightingale, and other civil war items.
After attending Ashland University I was able to take courses in costuming which further enticed my creative side. I graduated from Greensboro College (one of the first woman’s college in the United States founded in 1838) with a BS in History; and I had the privilege of working in the museum at the College.
Now I am enjoying being the artesian for Susan’s Boutique. We have many items including ceramics, sewing, Christmas ornaments, glass blocks, and many more, please enjoy viewing our Etsy Shop.
